Managed Server option upgrade turns your root server into a managed server: Our technicians take care of the security, the upgrades and - as far as possible - the stability of the server system. Furthermore, you can make use of our extended customer support whenever you need it. With the Managed Server, it is up to you: After ordering this upgrade, you simply inform us about the technical tasks you would like us to perform, the ones that need to be done once and the ones to be carried out monthly. Our team of expert technicians will then implement your requirements. The price of this upgrade includes two full hours of technical support per month. Should one of your tasks take longer, we will contact you immediately. Then you can decide if it should be billed separately or its scope should be limited, for example. Hardware Firewall pfSense

Don't take a risk: This upgrade provides a high-quality hardware firewall with pfSense. pfSense is generally considered to be the best open source firewall there is.
Your server will be connected to it exclusively and you will receive all login details so you can configure the device just like you want. To perform the configuration, you can either use a console or a comfortable web interface.
Other than proprietary firewalls, the pfSense does not have artificial constraints on the maximum number of allowed VPN users, etc. Instead, you can create and use as many as you want.

Full Monitoring

This upgrade provides you with an individual login-area with various monitoring features (and, if you wish, automatic alert messages) for your server. It includes:
- bandwidth monitoring of your server monitored directly at our switch
- online/offline monitoring of your server
- monitoring of various services like apache, FTP, etc. (more available)
- automatic alert messages per e-mail or SMS (50 SMS per month included, further SMS available per order) about offtimes

Emergency Support

You need reaction times within a few minutes if problems arise - no matter if during the day, at night, or even on weekends and holidays?
Then, the high-quality upgrade 'Emergency Support' is the right choice for you. It includes:

-With this upgrade, you receive an SSL certificate signed by a certificate authority (CA). It will enable you to run your website/online-store/forum/etc. via https without having to worry about annoying browser warnings.
SSL certificates are valid for 12 months and must be renewed after this period of time. Therefore, this certificate is valid for 12 months.
The certificate supports the domain names "www.yourdomain.com" as well as "yourdomain.com". Should you require https support for subdomains, please select the wildcard certificate instead.

Satellite feed

This upgrade allows you to receive a satellite feed on your server for further processing. Since a separate network card is used for this service, your regular uplink will still be able to run at full capacity. On this separate network card, you will be able to receive a satellite feed of Astra 19.2°E or Eutelsat Hot Bird 13.0°E. You can switch between the two at will. Just like with a regular tuner, you can receive one channel at a time. You can switch between channels, of course. If you would like to receive more than one channel simultaneously, you can simply order this upgrade multiple times. For each upgrade, you will be able to receive one simultaneous channel. Should you have multiple upgrades of this type, you can receive channels of both Astra and Hot Bird at the same time, of course. HD is supported.

Windows Server 2016 Standard (64 bit)

This option will upgrade your operating system to Windows Server 2016 Standard Edition, which then will be installed instead of a Linux-System.

Windows Server 2016 is a very secure but nevertheless easy-to-use operating system. It comes with Remote Desktop, a feature which will allow you to administer your entire server on a graphical interface just like your desktop.

As the newest Windows OS, Windows Server 2016 comes with the latest software and several new features and improvements, especially with regard to networking and virtualization.

Windows Server 2012R2 Standard (64 bit)

This option will upgrade your operating system to Windows Server 2012 Standard Edition, which then will be installed instead of a Linux-System. You will receive the newest version which is called "R2".

Windows Server 2012 is a very secure but nevertheless easy-to-use operating system. It comes with Remote Desktop, a feature which will allow you to administer your entire server on a graphical interface just like your desktop.

This version allows you to use all RAM that is available physically, there is no artificial RAM limitation.

cPanel/WHM

This option will upgrade your server with the cPanel Control Panel, which offers nigh endless possibilities.

cPanel is considered to be the top control panel, nearly everything can be administered easily via your browser with cPanel.

cPanel has a contract period of only one month, thus, it can be canceled monthly!

Plesk Onyx Web Host Edition

Plesk Onyx is being offered in three different editions, which allows you to choose the version that fits your requirements perfectly. This upgrade is the "Web Host Edition". With this edition, you can host an unlimited number of domains on your server. There is no limitation coming from Plesk whatsoever.
The Web Host Edition is the largest, most powerful of the three editions - you cannot go wrong with it since it comes with the entire feature set, ranging from the reseller management to the security core features up to automatic outbound spam protection.
During the first month of use, there is no monthly fee for this Plesk upgrade.

Plesk Onyx Web Pro Edition

Plesk Onyx is being offered in three different editions, which allows you to choose the version that fits your requirements perfectly. This upgrade is the "Web Pro Edition". With this edition, you can host up to 30 domains on your server.
The Web Pro Edition delivers an extremely extensive feature set at a very attractive price. Apart from the reseller management, you can use all features that Plesk has to offer.
During the first month of use, there is no monthly fee for this Plesk upgrade.

Plesk Onyx Web Admin Edition

Plesk Onyx is being offered in three different editions, which allows you to choose the version that fits your requirements perfectly. This upgrade is the "Web Admin Edition". With this edition, you can host up to 10 domains on your server.
The Web Admin Edition is targeted at users who are administrating only sites of their own on their server. At an extremely low price, you can make use of all features that are making Plesk such a great piece of software. The only exceptions are features which are required for hosting sites that do not belong to you as well as the Wordpress toolkit and the developer pack.
During the first month of use, there is no monthly fee for this Plesk upgrade.

web admin

WebminThis option will upgrade your server with the Webmin control panel.

Webmin is one of the few control panels which is completely free. While it does not offer as comfortable functions for administrating web-accounts as commercial control panels do, it still simplifies the administration of your server a lot (and only needs very few resources to do so).

This upgrade is for Linux only.

LAMP stands for 'Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP'. With this free upgrade, we will preinstall your server with Apache, PHP, MySQL, and phpMyAdmin. These services are required in almost every webserver setup and with this upgrade, you save the time to set everything up by yourself. So, once you receive your login details, you can start using your server right away!
This upgrade is not a 'panel' in the conventional sense, but rather a collection of popular software.
The services will be installed via the package manager, thus will be the newest version available in the repository of the OS you choose. This also makes it easy for you to keep them up to date as new versions are released.

Webmin + LAMP

Webmin + LAMPIf you select this upgrade, we will install the Webmin control panel and Apache with PHP and MySQL.

Webmin is one of the few control panels which is completely free. While it does not offer as comfortable functions for administrating web-accounts as commercial control panels do, it still simplifies the administration of your server a lot (and only needs very few resources to do so).

RAID

Software-RAID 1

With this upgrade, your server's disk space will be set up as software RAID 1. RAID 1 stands for the concept of "mirroring", which means that all data is stored on a second hard disk exactly like on the first. The advantage of RAID 1 is that data can be read faster and that, in case one hard disk fails, the system keeps working without loss of any data.

For RAID 1, one needs two identical hard disks. If you are ordering a server which has only one HD or two HDs which do not share the same capacity, you will need to order an additional HD with the same size as an upgrade. If you, for example, order a server with one 250 GB HD and would like to use this server with RAID 1, you will also need to order the upgrade for one additional 250 GB HD.
